PHOENIX TAPES PRODUCTS AND CAPABILITIES
COATING
By utilising Phoenix's hot melt coating machine, which boasts a one-meter width and a slot die, we are able to maintain consistent control over coat weight for our diverse range of products. The slot die further enables us to achieve coat weights ranging from 25gsm up to a maximum of 180gsm.
Additionally, our hot melt coating machine has the ability to produce a variety of products, including hot melt stripe coating, transfer tapes, as well as double-sided tissue and filmic tapes.
Heat cuttable double sided tapes for use on polythene bags. Different products are recommended for different gauges/thicknesses of polythene. Available with blue, red or clear film liners.
Goods can be supplied in log format, for customers to slit on their own machinery, or for applications if a wider width tape is required.
CONVERTING
At Phoenix, we possess exceptional converting capabilities that enable us to fulfill all of our customers' needs with the utmost quality. Our expertise extends to the production of various tapes, including fingerlift, filmic, tissue, and transfer tapes. We can produce tapes of varying widths, ranging from 8 mm to 54 mm, and lengths from 50 meters to 3,000 meters. With the wealth of experience possessed by each of our operators, who have spent over 30 years in the industry, we can achieve innovative products that meet the evolving demands of our customers. Thanks to our state-of-the-art converting machines, Phoenix remains at the forefront of the converting industry.
Spool/bobbin wound product, we can offer up to 10000M in length by supplying tape in this format, depending on the product and width required.
Finger-lift tapes are our most popular products, we can offer many different widths and lengths. These products have a wider release liner than the adhesive for easier removal, this feature is extremely beneficial
if clients are applying by hand or machinery.
SPOOLING
At Phoenix, our spooling department is equipped to handle any task that comes our way. Our inline slitting machines enable us to cater to individual spools, as well as any multiple quantities, depending on our customers' requirements. Our skilled spooling team can meet all of our customers' needs and produce high-quality spools. We can expertly slit various width ranges, from 5 mm up to 36 mm, and, depending on the product and width, wind lengths of up to 15,000 m. With our inline slitting technology, we can also slit flush edge and fingerlift spools, providing our customers with the flexibility of both products.
Flush edge tapes are also a standard manufacture for Phoenix, the release liner and adhesive width are both the same size for these products.
Products for the box closure industry, although mainly supplied in finger-lift bobbin/spool format for ease and efficiency on machinery where longer lengths are necessary, can also be offered in flat rolls or flush edge in smaller lengths to suit individual customer requirements.
SLITTING
At our company, we offer our customers the flexibility to order tapes of any width, ranging from 3 mm to 1240 mm, thanks to our advanced slitting machine capabilities. Our state-of-the-art slitting machines, operated by skilled and experienced operators, ensure that every product is perfect every time. Our twin shaft lathe slitter is capable of slitting anything from 3mm upwards and, depending on the product, up to 150 metres in length. Additionally, our base slitter can wind and slit anything from 40 mm upwards, and our computerized tension and taper settings guarantee a flawless finish every time. We can accommodate customers who require either logs with no slitting or slit rolls, ensuring that we meet all of our customers' needs.
